Joe Miller Discusses Road to Mid-Terms with Greta

Tea Party Express readies another anti-Murkowski blitz

Tea Party Express readies another anti-Murkowski blitz, Shane D'Aprile of The Hill reported today.

On Monday, the group will unveil a new TV ad targeting Murkowski, which spokesman Levi Russell said he hopes will be on the air in Alaska within the next two weeks. Russell said the spot will send a clear signal to Murkowski, "We voted you out once, and we'll do it again."

The Tea Party Express also has a planned rally and a two-hour radiothon Monday in Anchorage to raise money for their Alaska efforts this fall.

The group called it just the start of an effort to "counteract Murkowski's write-in campaign, which demonstrates a blatant disrespect for the voters of Alaska."

After the Republican primary, Murkowski labeled the Tea Party Express an "outside extremist group" and she has continued that line of attack in her write-in campaign.

Harry Reid & Lisa Murkowski Team Up

If this doesn't illustrate that Sen. Lisa Murkowski, the chameleon RINO has shown her true liberal colors, nothing will. Cited reports show that she has teamed up with far leftist Harry Reid in labeling the Tea Party movement as "extremist."

It shouldn't come as too big of a surprise, but Harry Reid has teamed up with liberal RINO Lisa Murkowski to attack the tea party movement.

Harry Reid's team cited comments made by defeated Senator Murkowski where she attacked the tea party movement as "extremist" and a danger to the nation.  Reid's campaign says he and Murkowski share the same feelings of the tea party movement, and said we were trying to "hijack the Republican Party."

Well, on that last part they got it right.  We at the Tea Party Express are indeed trying to change the GOP - and return it to its conservative, limited government roots, and away from the tax-spend-bailout policies that liberal establishment Republicans like Lisa Murkowski and Mike Castle have been advocating.

We are launching a new ad campaign supporting Conservative Republican Joe Miller's campaign in Alaska to "Defeat Lisa Murkowski" and we need your support to win this race and defeat Lisa Murkowski once and for all.

To our supporters we ask that you please make the most generous contribution you can to our campaign supporting Joe Miller so we can defeat Lisa Murkowski yet again.

You can make a contribution online - HERE.

You can give as little as $5 and as much as $5,000 under FEC laws and regulations.  We're going to need at least 500 patriots such as yourself to make a contribution of $100 or more within the next 48 hours to launch this new TV and radio ad campaign.
If you prefer you can mail in a contribution payable to "Tea Party Express" to our headquarters:

Gov. Parnell Endorses Joe Miller

Gov. Parnell Endorses Joe Miller Video retrieved from KTUU.

Gov. Sean Parnell, Lt. Gov. candidate Mead Treadwell, and several lawmakers and former Palin campaign operatives endorsed Joe Miller at a joint rally held at the Menard Sports center yesterday, Ian Lazaran, Conservatives4Palin reported. KTUU and Miller both acknowledged the importance of Gov. Palin to helping them achieve their respective successes. Gov. Parnell ascended to his current position via Gov. Palin's resignation last year. Her endorsement of Joe Miller pulled him ahead of Lisa Murkowski and brought in over $500,000 in Tea Party money to his campaign.

GOP Digs in on Murkowski Against the Will of Voters

Doug Brady, Conservatives4Palin reported that Joe Miller discussed the GOP establishment's digging in rather than admitting defeat among its candidates such as Lisa Murkowski with Neil Cavuto tonight. Murkowski is currently keeping her Senate Energy Committee leadership position.

In his interview with Cauvto, Miller spoke highly of his main endorser, Gov. Palin regarding her as a "phenomenal asset to the nation," who "has [and continues to do] extraordinary things for the country." When asked if he would endorse Gov. Palin for a 2012 POTUS run, Miller said he regarded her as being the "top of the field of candidates," but made clear that there was no quid pro quo in his statement and that he does not do business that way.

The National Review wrote a scathing editorial about the GOP protecting Murkowski rather than following the will of the voters, and removing her from the position. The National Review's editorial board called upon readers to support the Miller campaign. Gov. Palin Tweeted about the editorial at 17:15 (5:15 PM) AKDT.

C4P: Rasmussen Reports Miller Up by Double Digits

A Rasmussen poll indicates that Joe Miller commands 42% of the vote for Alaska's US Senate seat, with Sen. Murkowski and Democrat Scott McAdams splitting the liberal vote 27% to 25% respectively, Doug Brady, an editor of Conservatives4Palin reported today. Undecided voters account for 5% of the vote. Brady wrote:

Murkowski's entry into the race has had the effect of splitting the liberal vote (exactly what Ian predicted last week) and allowing Joe Miller to open up a 17 point lead against McAdams and a 15 point lead against the other liberal in the race, Lisa Murkowski.

On September 17, Murkowski launched a write-in campaign in a desperate bid to save her Senate seat. Her first campaign ad contained a misspelling of her own last name. This afternoon, Gov. Palin Tweeted news from two sources that Sen. Murkowski might be stripped of her energy committee leadership position.

Spelling Your Own Name Correctly Helps for a Write-In

Mel Bryant, an editor of Conservatives4Palin, recovered a rather embarrassing ad campaign for Lisa Murkowski that had to be done over again. Her campaign misspelled her last name in their first ad for her futile write-in bid.

The above photo is a frame grab, made by Ben Smith of Politico from a 1:14 video ad and appears from 1:10 to 1:14 in the video.

Lisa Murkowski conceded to Joe Miller, then initiated this desperate bid to retain her power. The misspelling of her own name for a write-in campaign is perhaps a sign that her campaign is ill-conceived and ill-founded.

Joe Miller on Mark Levin Live Tonight

Make sure to tune into The Mark Levin Show tonight at 7:30 p.m. EDT/3:30 p.m. AKDT.
I’ll be calling into the radio show and talking about the U.S. Senate race in Alaska.
Mark was an early supporter of our efforts to elect a conservative in Alaska. Long before voters picked me to be the Republican nominee, Mark endorsed me on air. He said:
Do you think Murkowski should be elected in the Republican primary? There's a conservative running against her, you know. His name is Joe Miller. Now far be it from me to tell Alaskans what to do, but my attitude is, "you want to save this country," then...Senator [Murkowski] needs to go!

Alaska...Joe Miller. That's the conservative!
Now that Lisa Murkowski has re-entered the race as a write-in candidate,
his words are even more powerful.
We thank Mark for his support of this campaign. I hope you will be able to listen
tonight.
Sincerely,
Joe Miller
P.S. Thank you for supporting this campaign over the weekend. Through the help of conservatives in Alaska and around the country, we raised more than $100,000.

It’s not too late to join them. Click here to make a donation at a special page for Mark Levin fans!

Murkowski Strategy Includes Active Courtship of Anti-Palin Vote

Murkowski Strategy Includes Active Courtship of Anti-Palin Vote

This article on Real Clear Politics describes at length how a signficant part of Lisa Murkowski's write-in against Joe Miller is a personal vendetta against Gov. Palin, and likely conservatives as a whole. Murkowski is on record falsely accusing Joe Miller's campaign of catering to "extremists."

WesternPAC: The Ad Lisa Murkowski Does Not Want You To See

Dear Patriot,

Late Friday night Lisa Murkowski announced that she would ignore the will of the Republican voters she claims to represent.  As soon as we heard the announcement, the team here at Western Representation PAC began working to oppose Murkowski's pathetic attempt to maintain her power.  Within hours we had launched a website and a facebook group that already has more than 2,000 supporters!
Over the weekend we also produced a hard hitting radio ad.  The ad doesn't pull any punches, hammering Murkowski for being a "spoiled child" and feeling "entitled" to the seat.  Listen to the blistering ad by clicking this LINK

Today we will start buying airtime on radio stations across Alaska.  With your support our ad will be blasting across the great state of Alaska by the middle of the week.  You can make sure that Lisa Murkowski's attempt to split the vote in Alaska gets no traction by making a generous contribution of $25, $50, $100, or more by clicking  ---HERE---

Joe Miller is the candidate we need to send to Washington.  He is a graduate of West Point and earned the bronze star in operation desert storm.  He earned his law degree from Yale and a masters of economics from the University of Alaska.  He has a deep commitment and understanding of the constitution.  Help us reject big-government Lisa Murkowski and elect Joe Miller by making a contribution ---HERE---

Miller Calls on Alaskans to Look to the Future

Miller Calls on Alaskans to Look to the Future

Anchorage, Alaska. September 17, 2010 -- Joe Miller, candidate for US Senate, remarks (as prepared) following the decision of Lisa Murkowski to run as a write-in candidate for this November's election.

"I’m pleased to be joined by fellow Alaskans here tonight, including supporters of Lisa Murkowski’s campaign in the primary. Tonight, they’re standing with me as a visible sign of the unity that we need to build in order to bring change to Washington, D.C. and protect Alaska’s future.
"As Alaskans we have differences on some issues, and that is to be expected. But what unites us at this time is vastly more important than what divides us. What unites us is our conviction that the federal government -- under the leadership of President Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi– is leading our country toward economic ruin. Skyrocketing unemployment robs our generation and our children's of their chance at the American Dream: to work hard, earn success, and provide for their families. Heavy taxes and regulations strangle our businesses, stifle innovation, and send more and more jobs overseas. The liberal idea that governmental dependency creates prosperity is flawed. Obama's Health Care law takes away our choices, and plunges us deeper and deeper into debt. Another example of how a governmental program that is sold to the American people under the guise of safety and security that in fact does quite the opposite. It eats away at the pockets of the individual and gives almost nothing in return on our investment and steals the financial security of the future from our children.
"The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office has released estimates showing that over the first three years of the Obama Presidency, 2009-2011, the federal government will borrow an estimated $3.7 trillion. Here is how the Wall Street Journal puts that $3.7 trillion figure into perspective: '… [It] is more than the entire accumulated national debt for the first 225 years of U.S. history. By 2019, the interest payments on this debt will be larger than the budget for education, roads, and all other non-defense discretionary spending.' We know this kind of reckless spending cannot be sustained. This is more than a fiscal issue – it is really a moral issue. The policies of Obama, Reid, and Pelosi will lead to a massive tax burden on our children and grandchildren.
"When we look to the history of our country, it is very clear that each generation of Americans has left this country a stronger and better place for the generations that follow. To ensure that this generation is able to do the same we must stop the plunge that is currently occurring across the country. It is our duty as citizens and stewards of our country to do everything in our power to create a more prosperous nation for the future. The thought that our generation – my generation – could be the first to actually leave the country worse off is truly frightening. And yet, if we don’t make a dramatic change of course, this is what we’ll be facing.
"Earlier this year, our late Senator Ted Stevens spoke to Republicans gathered at the Lincoln Day dinner in Anchorage. Addressing the issue of out-of-control spending, Senator Stevens said the following: '…I believe that this is no time for new programs. It’s time to review all existing programs and to cut federal expenditures wherever possible. This is a tough time. Tax bills that they will inherit because of our nation’s current debt are astronomical. Clearly there’s a need for a reconsideration of all that we’ve done in the past that led to this fantastic level of debt.'
"In addition to concerns over the national economy, our state economy in Alaska is threatened by the policies of President Obama and the Democrats in Congress. Our abundant natural resources can secure a prosperous future for Alaskans. But the harsh reality is that Barack Obama and the entire Democratic Party are beholden to an extreme, anti-development environmental agenda. ANWR will NEVER be opened as long as they are in power. We will never realize our full potential as a state, so long as the radical environmental agenda is allowed to triumph over common sense. Federal lands policy affects almost every aspect of Alaska’s economy – whether it’s oil and gas, mining, timber, fisheries, and tourism. We must join forces to secure more control over our state’s resources and safeguard our economic future.
"This evening, I want to invite all Alaskans who are concerned about the direction of our country to join this campaign. I especially want to invite my fellow Republicans who supported Senator Murkowski to unite behind us in this crucial mission. My message is, and has been, simple. I am a conservative. I know this country is going in the wrong direction and will do my best to help turn it around. I believe the federal government tries to do too many things and in the process wastes our money. I am for reducing spending AND reducing taxes, because these things will help our ailing economy. And foremost, I am FOR Alaska. I came here because I believe this is the greatest State in the greatest nation on Earth, and I will do all that I can in order to protect its future and our children's future."

Comments prepared by Republican nominee Joe Miller on September 17, 2010

Tonight I am pleased to be joined by many Alaskans who were supporting Senator Murkowski’s campaign in the primary. They are standing with me as a visible sign of the unity that we need, in order to take change to Washington, D.C. and to protect Alaska’s future.

As Alaskans we have differences on some issues, and that is to be expected. But what unites us at this time is vastly more important than what divides us. What unites us is our conviction that the federal government -- under the leadership of President Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi– is leading our country toward economic ruin.

When we look to the history of our country, it is very clear that each generation of Americans has left this country a stronger and better place for the generations that follow. To ensure that we are able to do the same we must change course. It is our duty as citizens and stewards of our country to do everything in our power to create a more prosperous nation for the future.

The Late Senator Ted Stevens agreed when he said earlier this year:

“…I believe that this is no time for new programs. It’s time to review all existing programs and to cut federal expenditures wherever possible

“This is a tough time. Tax bills that they will inherit because of our nation’s current debt are astronomical. Clearly there’s a need for a reconsideration of all that we’ve done in the past that led to this fantastic level of debt.”

In addition to concerns over the national economy, Alaska’s economy is threatened by the policies of President Obama and Congress. Lisa Murkowski has been on the liberal side of the policy debate on too many issues ranging from TARP to Cap and Trade.

This evening, I encourage all Alaskans who are concerned about the direction of this country to continue in their support of this campaign. I also want to thank my fellow Republicans for uniting behind us in this crucial mission.

We were hopeful that Senator Murkowski would be as gracious in defeat as she had encouraged me to be.
Senator Murkowski spent a lot of time quoting our late Senator Ted Stevens tonight, but she seemed to forget what he said this last February at the Lincoln Day Dinner:

“ . . . I do hope that we can avoid electing people who would destroy another Republican in order to bring about personal success.”

I trust the people of Alaska will not become cynical; as yet another DC politician has broken her word.
For them, my message is simple; I am a conservative. This country is headed in the wrong direction. I believe the federal government has gone too far. I want to rein in federal spending, roll back excessive regulation, AND reduce taxes. Some call these views extreme; I call them common sense.
I am FOR Alaska. I came here because I believe this is the greatest State, in the greatest nation, and I will do all that is in my power to protect its future.

Because it is my children's future; it is OUR children’s future. We know change will not come FROM Washington, but I am determined to take change TO Washington. Thank you, and God Bless.
